Interior Inspection
Room-by-Room Inspections
We do a thorough walk-through of each room. "When you pay attention to the detail, the big picture will take care of itself!"
Walls, Ceilings, and Floors
We inspect the walls and ceilings for defects and signs of water leaks. Floors are also examined to look for evidence of structural problems.
Windows and Doors
Have you ever tried to open a window and it has been painted shut? We check to make sure windows and doors are operating properly. We inspect for things like rotted sills, broken components, and loose or missing hardware.
Presence or Absence of Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Alarms
SAFETY is our top priority. Multiple members of our team have been personally affected by house fires and we take this very seriously! These alarms need to alert occupants. We will check for accurate location to ensure performance is optimal.
Steps, Stairways, and Railings
This is all about preventing slips, trips, and falls. For your safety we check for proper tread size, uneven risers, appropriate railing, balusters, etc.
Countertops and Installed Cabinets
We make sure your cabinets and counters function properly while inspecting for signs of water damage around the sink or any other significant defects.
Installed Ovens, Ranges, Surface Cooking Appliances, Microwaves, Dishwashers, and Food Waste Grinders
No surprises here! We test appliances to ensure they are functioning as intended.
Fixtures, Commodes, Showers, and Tubs
We ensure proper function and look for evidence of leaking fixtures.
Fireplaces
We check for proper clearance from combustible materials and the functionality of the flue vent. This is why every detail of a home inspection is important! One of our team members had this missed in their home inspection (performed by another inspection company!) and it resulted in a house fire.
