Exterior Inspection
Siding, Trim, Windows, and Doors
It's not all about good looks. We check for signs of rust, cracks, leaks, peeling paint, spalling brick, rotting wood, or other items that affect the exterior condition of a home.
Eaves, Soffits, and Fascia
We check to make sure all are present and properly installed. This is important to make sure the house is correctly sealed up and ready for exposure to wind and water.
Steps, Stairs, and Railings
Steps and stairs are dangerous enough without added hazards such as missing handrails, irregular treads, or uneven risers. Let us make sure your family stays safe.
Visible Portions of Chimney
Is the chimney in great shape? Or is it leaning, cracking, and deteriorating?
Decks and Balconies
Safety is our priority as we look to make sure decks and balconies are properly fastened to the house, We make sure support posts are not deteriorating, and that there is no presence of wood rot.
Driveways, Walkways, and Patios
Are these in great condition or are they cracking? (tripping hazard!) And will they need replacement or repair?
Garage and Carport
Grading, Drainage, and Vegetation
Vegetation should not have a detrimental effect on the foundation, siding, or roofing; And water needs to be directed away from your home with proper grading. For example, a patio that is sloped toward the house or has a gap between the house and patio, could contribute to basement flooding,
We will be inspecting all the same structural components of the main house, as well as the correct operation of the garage door and it's safety features. If it is attached to the home, there needs to be proper fire separation.
